– No alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before procedure, these substances could make your skin more prone to bleeding, and bleeding does not help with pigment retention.
– Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to procedure.
– Avoid taking blood thinners such as Aspirin, Niacin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure.
– No brow waxing one week before procedure.
– No microdermabrasion or chemical peels one month before or after procedure.
– No Botox or similar 30-45 days before or after procedure.
– Discontinue Retin-A 4 weeks prior to appointment.
– Do not use any skincare products that contain acids close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after your procedure.
Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
Please Note: If you are anemic you may want to take some iron supplements, so you don’t bleed excessively during the procedure.
– Do not get your eyebrows wet for the first 48 hours, you can use plastic (saran wrap) to cover your brows during your showers.
– In the first hour, pat the eyebrow area every 15 minutes with a clean tissue or cotton round to absorb any fluid, this will minimalize scabbing during healing process.
– After the first 48 hours, wash the area GENTLY with antibacterial soap and cold water.
– Apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor 2x/day (after the initial 48 hours) while your eyebrows are scabbing, or as otherwise advised by your artist.
– It is very important that you stay out of the sun for at least 15 days and avoid any excess heat (this includes hot stoves, hair drying, sauna, jacuzzi, and hot showers).
– We do not recommend working out for at least 7 days. Sweating can make you scab more and cause poor pigment retention.
– Always wash your hands before touching the sensitive area.
– Do not pick, rub or scratch the area during the healing process.
– Do not use any makeup near the eyebrows during the healing/scabbing process. At least 15 days.
– Always use sunscreen to protect your eyebrows, after they are completely healed.
Please Note: After care is very important. It is 50% of the work. If you don’t care for your brows during the healing process, more than one touch up may be needed and you could be unhappy with the results. You invested in this, so invest time on your after care as well!
– If you have EVER had cold sores or herpes of any kind you will need to take Acyclovir so you can prevent any break outs after the procedure. Consult your doctor.
– Scrub your lips every day for at least 7 days before the appointment. You can make your own by mixing sugar and honey or use a lip scrub of your choice!
– Use a lip balm of your choice daily for at least 7 days before the appointment. We need your lips to be as moisturized as much as possible, keep up your water intake as well, you need to be hydrated from inside out. Please note, if your lips are NOT in a GOOD condition the day of the appointment, you will need to reschedule your appointment and a last minute cancelation fee will be applied, no exceptions.
– We highly recommend taking L-Lysine supplements for at least one week prior to the appointment to help prevent any cold sores from happening. L-Lysine is an essential amino acid that supports the immune and lip health.

Touch-up is not always necessary, but your procedure does include ONE touch up if needed.
– Wash your lips for the next week with antibacterial soap 2-3 times a day.
– You may ice the lip area as needed to minimize swelling and discomfort.
– Use Lysine cold sore treatment balm frequently for 10-15 days or as needed. Do not let the lip become dry, lips should be moisturized at ALL times.
– No kissing for 5-7 days.
– Avoid touching your lips or placing dirty objects on them.
– Avoid spicy or hot foods/drinks for 3-5 days.
– Avoid sun and excessive heat. No tanning for 30 days.
– No makeup or skin care on or around the lips for 7 days.
– Do not wear contact lenses to procedure. Please bring your glasses.
– If you have lash extensions, please remove them (professionally) for the day of your procedure. We will NOT perform this procedure if you have eyelash extensions on. If you don’t remove them, you will need to reschedule your appointment and a last minute cancelation fee will be applied, no exceptions.
– Do not use any lash growing stimulant (Latisse, RevitaLash, etc.) for one week before and after procedure.
